To See or Not to See

Whitney Houston - Sparkle

As we all know Whitney Houston died in February of this year. Right before Whitney Houston died she completed the filming of the movie Sparkle. After suffering such a great loss and the hearts are starting to heal, the premier of Sparkle comes out this week and Whitney Houston is the lead character.  As a family member and close friend, do you go and see the movie or do you wait until it comes out on video to see it then in private? Go see it while it is in theatres. If the family supports the movie the fans will.

The world has been waiting for this movie to come out since Whitney Houston died. Even though everyone had mixed feelings in regards to her death, people must respect her talents. I believe that everyone who have supported Whitney Houston in the past should go see the movie as a final viewing if you will, since so many of us did not have the opportunity to get to know her personally and so many of us never knew her life outside of the bad things that the media portrayed.

After her death, everything about her life was televised and there were many people who spoke on her behalf regarding their own personal relationship with Whitney Houston. There were so many documentaries about her life for weeks after her death. Anyone who didn’t know Whitney Houston got an opportunity to learn about the good and the bad. The media liked and still likes to highlight the bad points of her life but the good definitely outweighs the bad.

So as a family member, close friend, fan, or even just a spectator, go see the movie and pay homage to one of the greatest legends that has ever lived. Yes it may be hard, but you will find joy in knowing that Whitney Houston had accomplishments until the end and was trying hard to get her life back in order despite the cause of her death. Let’s show her family that we love her by supporting Whitney Houston in her last movie called Sparkle.  Rest in peace Whitney Houston.
